Tree Stump Removal

The Arbor Surgeon provides stump grinding in Kanab and surrounding areas. Stumps are ground below grade, leaving the area ready for backfill, landscaping, or other use.

Stump Grinding

Stump grinding removes the remaining stump without excavating the entire root system. Grinding depth can vary depending on the stump and how the area will be used afterward.

Root Grinding

Surface roots can also be ground when needed. Root grinding can be included with stump removal depending on the location and extent of the roots.

What Happens To The Grindings?

After grinding, the hole is backfilled and left level with the surrounding grade. Excess grindings are hauled away.

Replanting After Stump Removal

A new tree can often be planted after stump grinding. When replanting in the same area, additional grinding may be needed to make room for the new tree.
