About The Arbor Surgeon
I started The Arbor Surgeon for the fairly cliché reason that I love trees. Tree care and tree health are the focus of both my business and my approach to the work. I enjoy climbing and the technical side of what I do, but also the problem solving that comes with figuring out what actually makes sense for each tree and property. I see tree work as my art, and it's genuinely rewarding to step back at the close of a job and see healthier trees, a safer yard, or the potential for something new.
Ive worked in the tree care industry Since 2022, with experience across Southern Utah, Northern California, and Northern Utah. Working with different tree species and conditions has given me experience in tree health, structural pruning, removals, climbing, and rigging. Today, The Arbor Surgeon is an owner operated tree service serving Kanab, UT and surrounding communities.
It's Not About Cutting
Good tree work starts with understanding the tree and why the work is being done. Pruning should have a purpose, and removal shouldn’t be recommended indiscriminately. When a tree can reasonably be retained, I’ll recommend the work that gives it the best chance to remain healthy and structurally sound. When removal is the right option, I’ll explain why.
